Corregidor is an amazing place to visit. It's an island rich in history and heroism; I want to go back just so I could hear the story of the bravery of our forefathers during World War II over and over.
It was raining almost everyday last November here in Manila, but luckily, the skies were clear (and beautifully blue) that weekend when we sailed to The Rock.
I won't attempt to write about Corregidor because a lot has been written about it. Go to this website instead, to learn more about the island.
I encourage you to go there, at least once in your life. It will make you more proud to be Pinoy. You will appreciate once more the sacrifices of all those who came before us just so we could be free.
And when you go, tread softly. Many lives have been lost there.
