I have been wanting to go to Cafe Juanita at The Fort since they opened in 2009. You see, I really loved their branch in Pasig (before they transferred to the new building) because apart from their delicious food, they had such magical, romantic ambiance.
So when my friend Bambi called that we will have dinner at Cafe Juanita with Ate Rachel, I was very excited. I was, above all, looking forward to seeing Ate Rachel. She arrived from the US for a short vacation in the country. And I miss her!

Maya-maya sa Miso. I'm not a soup person, but this I love! The sourness is just perfect.
Cafe Juanita at The Fort is not as magical as the one in Pasig, but it is pretty nonetheless. We dined at the second floor dining area and I totally loved all the colorful chandeliers and chair covers.
The food was excellent, just as I remembered it when I first visited Cafe Juanita in Pasig.

Their famous two-way-adobo, a favorite among my friends -- adobo topped with adobo flakes.
It is really as good as they say it is.
I will give their service three stars (out of five). They missed one guyabano shake and forgot to give us table napkins. Other than that though, they were really nice and friendly.

The yummiest laing I've tried in the metro.
Price Range

Deep fried tilapia. Another must-try.
We stayed until they closed at 10pm just catching up and laughing and opening pasalubongs from Ate Rachel. It's always a happy occasion to be around these people. Wish the other girls were around.

Bagnet with tomatoes and shrimp paste. Lovely combination of flavors.
Cafe Juanita is perfect for romantic dates, family dinners, and night-out with friends. They serve one of the best filipino dishes in the metro. Dining here is a gastronomic delight.

Happy, satisfied, full -- hearts and tummies.
