Sentro 1771 serves modern Filipino food. Their food always reminds me of home. I love their branch at Serendra -- opulent -- what with the high ceiling, huge artworks, and beautiful tables and chairs. The service is excellent. I like how their staff is attentive to your needs but at the same time respects your space.
This restaurant serves so many delightful dishes, and here are a few of my favorites --

Crispy Drunken Shrimps. Php320.
These are crispy and sweet and definitely a good way to start the meal. But if you are not fond of shrimps, you can try their Deep Fried Kesong Puti.

Vegetable Spring Rolls. Php250.
Lovely flavors. And very crispy at every bite! Dip in vinegar for more surprises. There's Sizzling Tofu you could also try.

Sinigang na Corned Beef. Php595.
This is the house specialty -- chunks of corned beef stewed in tamarind broth. When you order this, a staff will give you a sample broth so they could adjust the sourness according to your taste. It's quite a surprise that corned beef is actually wonderful in sinigang. Delicious! An absolute must-try.

Lamb Caldereta. Solo: Php480. Sharing: Php880.
I am not a fan of lamb or caldereta, but this one is a winner. The meat is tender and the sauce is perfectly seasoned. You can also choose to have it a bit spicy.

Crispy Pork Ribs. Solo: Php440. Sharing: Php630.
This is my absolute favorite in Sentro -- tender pork ribs with mayo and tamarind sauce. All the garlicky, sweet (from the mayo), and the sour (from the tamarind sauce) just mixes so deliciously together in your mouth. I order this everytime. :)

Catfish Adobo Flakes. Solo: Php350. Sharing: Php360.
This is my second favorite. I never imagined catfish could be this delicious. Such crispy goodness. Light, peppery, and quite good for the soul. :)

Fried Suman with Mangoes. Php180.
I always end my meals in Sentro with this all-time pinoy favorite. Love the crispy parts of the suman (it's fried!). This always reminds me of childhood and of many wonderful memories of home.
