We had Chocolata -- chocolate cake layered with chocolate ganache. This is probably the holy grail of desserts. It is moist, chewy, and its sweetness is just perfect. It is delicious, every bite is like a divine experience. I kid you not. We also had Banoffee Pie which we all loved.
The weather was beautiful that tuesday night. We dined outside the cafe and spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing and enjoying our desserts.
The cafe is tastefully decorated -- just the right je ne sais qouis. Every person would be drawn into its pink, brown, and white interiors. The entire place is quite charming and friendly, much like the owner, Chef Cristina, who we had the honor of meeting when we were there.
I gushed about Sweet Bella to CBB and suggested we visit the place together. We did, last weekend. This time, I tried their Caribbean mini cake: banana mousse layered with milk chocolate mousse. It was absolutely divine! Even CBB who is not a dessert person loved it.
We had coffee, too. We lingered and talked and laughed. We both loved the ambiance, the service, the music. It was an easy, relaxing afternoon away from the crowd.
Sweet Bella also sells french macarons. And they come in pretty boxes.
I will try this on my next visit.
These are the macaron boxes and I wonder if the mini cakes could fit into them
because these would be nice gift boxes (with mini cakes in them).
Before we left, we grabbed a box of sugar-free Cheese Rolls. I told CBB that it is delicious and that he should bring some home. When I had dessert there with my friends, Chef Cristina gave us complimentary cheese roll and ensaymada to try. My friends and I loved them. I personally loved the cheese roll more, though.
I want to go back to Sweet Bella. I want to try their Mangotier and their Mango Charlotte. And when you ever find yourself in Burgos Circle for dinner with your family or friends, go to Sweet Bella for a perfect ending.
