Donsol: AGM Beachfront Resort.

It has been a week since my trip to Donsol, but I am still thinking about it. I loved every bit of that trip. Donsol has a way of capturing one's heart.

We stayed at AGM Beach Resort, a 15-minute walk to the Tourist Center and 5-minute tricycle-ride to the town. One side of the resort faces rice fields and the other, blue waters of Donsol.

It has an open dining area, rows of rooms, and a parking lot.
Room Rates:
Standard Room : P1,900.00/ night
Family Room : P2,200.00 / night

Check Out Time – 1:00 PM

FUNCTION ROOM RATES
Can accommodate 100 people.
Function Hall : P5,000.00 / 8 hours

The rooms' amenities are pretty basic -- bed, towels, hot/cold shower, aircon -- no TV or cable or phones, which I do not mind at all. I love how the rooms are so clean and spacious.

My favorite part about AGM is their outstanding service. The owner even personally arranged our Firefly Tour and Butanding Encounter. They were all so wonderful and nice. The cook even stood at the dining area stairs when we left to wave us farewell. Heartwarming.

AGM offers a wide variety of dishes in their restaurant. The food is delicious and affordable. We tried their Happy Family -- shrimps, squid, chicken, and pork sauteed with spices and veggies -- and we absolutely loved it!
They provide customized tours and adventure activities. Here's a sample package of their tours (grabbed from their website):
  • Accommodation
  • Food
  • Transport to and from Legaspi City airport and other destinations in Albay, Sorsogon and Camarines Sur Provinces
  • Whaleshark interaction
  • Firefly watching
  • Island hopping in San Miguel and Ticao Islands
  • Diving in San Miguel and Manta Bowl
  • Native shrimp fishing

This is the sunset at AGM's shores. Stunning. Many of us (guests of AGM) stayed on the shoreline while the sun was setting. We took pictures and marveled at the beauty of it all.

When I visit Donsol again, I am sure to go back to AGM.

How to get there:
From Legaspi, you can take a van or jeep from the terminal.
It is about an hour trip to Donsol by van and about an hour and a half by jeep.
