After our awesome Butanding Encounter in Donsol, E and I headed off to Legaspi. It was a one and half hour trip from Donsol to Daraga through jeep.
We stayed at the Villa Amada Hotel, just about five minutes to/from the Legaspi airport, about five minutes to all the major malls and other interesting places, about 10 minutes to the Grand Central Terminal, and about 20 minutes to Cagsawa Ruins. You can also walk from the hotel to the Bicol University, that is, if you want to see it.
This hotel is classified Economy and is a good place to stay for travelers on a budget.
Rates:The best part about it is that there's Bikol Blends Cafe (they serve delicious pili bread) and 1st Colonial Grill (they serve tinutong and sili ice cream!) on the ground floor. The owners of this hotel and the Cafe and the resto are siblings. Fantastic business partnership! :)
Standard Room (1-2 pax): Php 1600 with one complimentary breakfast
Deluxe Twin (2 pax): Php 2000 with two complimentary breakfast
Family Room (2-4 pax): Php 3600 with three complimentary breakfast
Everyone was very helpful, too -- from the lobby staff to the security guard.

The picture on the left is the small space you see upon entering from the ground floor.
The stairs lead to the second floor main lobby

The rooms are small and pretty basic -- aircon, tv, towels.
But it is clean and the beds are comfortable.
And oh, free WiFi!

The comfort rooms are small and basic, too. Gladly, it is very clean.
Toothbrush, soaps, and shampoo are provided. There's hot and cold water, too.

Every floor has this mini-lobby. Quite homey and welcoming.
We did feel at-home in this hotel.
