Wonderful Six Days.

Hof Gorei

The six days I spent in Davao and Samal Island have been the most wonderful, I don't regret giving up the Masskara festival (but I certainly would want to go to the festival next year). It was a crazy-happy six full days filled with conversations, stories, laughter, and adventures worth telling.

Imagine this -- three resorts in three days and three buffets in one day! It was absolutely awesome!

Maxima Aqua Fun

We tried the water sports available in the resorts. We walked on narrow hanging canopy, too, (that's me in the picture!) and trekked 205 steps just to dip in a jacuzzi. There were also so many interesting events in between these activities and in between takes.

And I should confess now -- I fell off the banana boat twice! But that was not the embarrassing part. The embarrassing part was climbing back up the banana boat with so much difficulty because my butt was too heavy! Haha. Note to self: must lose weight!

And oh, I burned my hair while trying the fire poi because I was feeling fire dancer that night. Big mistake. Haha. But it was worth the fun and experience.

Leticia by the Sea

I will write about this adventure here right after the show is aired so as not to preempt anything. After all, I will be Pop Talk's expert reviewer for the episodes we shot on the island and in Davao. Yes, two episodes! How lucky can I get? :D

I am utterly grateful for this experience. Grateful, too, to everyone who trusted I could do this -- my family, my friends, Martine, and the awesome Pop Talk producers/researchers/crew and host (Joni, Jane, Richelle, Luz, Joanna, Nino, Jepoy and Tonipet) who all made me feel comfortable and loved. Those who know me enough know I am painfully shy and agreeing to appear on tv is a brave step for me. I shall always remember this experience with pride and gratitude.

My favorite part about this trip? Meeting people, gaining friends.

you had me at 3 buffets in one day. hehe

  2. Patricia: It truly was! Thank you! And oh, you and I would've enjoyed the buffet together! Let's do buffet when you get here. :)

  3. Did someone say buffet?

That's something the three of us have in common!

We should totally meet up when we're all in Manila one of these days. Or in Singapore, perhaps! (I love it there! Did I tell you I grew up there?)

  4. Martine: Haha! Oh yes, a meet-up sounds wonderful! I can already imagine the conversations and laughter over... eeerrr, buffet? :D

Wow, you grew up in SG! You are a citizen of the world, Martine! :)
