The absolutely talented Tuesday.
Tuesday Jane was born and raised in Manila. She finished a degree in Architecture and practiced her profession in Singapore for five years. In 2005, she moved to Dublin with her family to permanently live there. In 2010, she took a leap of faith and decided to switch careers -- web and photography. These are the things she truly enjoys. She took a short course in Business Photography and is currently doing a post graduate degree in Accesible Design and Mobile Application Development.

Tuesday takes stunning portraits but photography for this architect is a part time job. She holds a full time job in Ireland's Department of National Tourism Development as web content editor. Promoting Ireland's destinations is part of her job!
She grew up in a family of artists. That is why, when she's not doing her full time job, she is taking pictures. When I asked how her love for photography started, she said: "I'm not sure when it all started. But I came from a family of artists (painter, performers) so I was raised to appreciate art in all forms."
About four years ago, Tuesday was commissioned to design a restaurant in Dublin and she used part of her hard earned money to buy a Canon 450D and a few lenses. That's when she started her incredible journey to portrait and fashion photography.

Here's a short interview with Tuesday ~
What are your favorite subjects?
Beauty and Fashion, Landscape and Architecture.
What is your favorite lens and your favorite carry-around lens?
It is definitely Canon 50 mm 1.4 USM lens. It never leaves my camera. It’s light to carry. It takes amazing portraits and macro shots. It is also the cheapest among my lenses!
Who or what inspired you to go into photography?
Nirrimi Firebrace, Zhang Jingna, and Lara Jade. They were teenagers when I started following their blogs and it amazes me how talented they are at very young age.
What do you use for editing?
99% Photoshop and 1% Lightroom. I’ve created my own PS actions to make the editing faster, however it still depends on how I’d like my photos to look in the end. I tweak until I’m satisfied. I like playing around “curves” and “colour balance”. I only use Lightroom for segregating and publishing photos online.

What important advice can you give those who want to go into photography?
One lucky shot is not enough to become an expert in photography. So practice everyday and learn from your own mistakes. Self portrait is a good way to enhance your creativity. Learn from other people. Know how to work with light and shadows. Observe and look around your subject, you might discover other amazing things that are interesting to shoot.
Photowalks are such big help as well. It is wonderful if you have friends who have the same hobby as you. Invite them for a fun-filled photoshoot.
Lastly, use the web to build your portfolio slowly. It's free for everyone to see!

What's inside your camera bag?
Canon EOS 5D Mk II
Canon 50 mm 1.4 (my all around camera lens)
Canon 100 mm 2.8 L (best for close up and beauty portraits)
Canon 24-70mm 2.8 L (I use this for fashion shoots and runway shots)
Canon 70-200mm 2.8 L (for festivals and events)
Any future plans?
I’m not really much of a planner, I live and enjoy each day as it comes. I grab whatever is thrown at me and I’m grateful for a wonderful, happy, and easy life. But thinking about your question made me realize that there are things I want to do in the future, like travel to Japan, Korea, and China. I also want to publish a book with beautiful pictures, shoe shop in New York, and watch Wicked in London!
