Bantayan Island | Le Petit Bonheur.

Our plan was to make our Bantayan trip as relaxing as possible. It was quite tempting to just stay at Ogtong Cave Resort, after all, everything we needed was already there -- sea, sand, a pool, and restaurant just a few steps away from our room. But we did not give in to temptation. We went out and explored the town. And glad we did. (This will be for another blog entry).

On our first night, we had dinner at Le Petit Bonheur, a charming restaurant in the heart of Sta. Fe. It is along that short strip of restaurants in town, a few steps away from the market and the church.

We all loved the ambiance and the food. Our dining experience could have been perfect if only the service was fast.

Le Petit Bonheur also serves Filipino and continental breakfast, coffee and specialty drinks, ice cream and shakes.

Sinagang na Baboy | Php150
E was craving for sinigang. This doesn't look like sinigang, but it did taste like one.

Calamares with Spicy Butter | Php175
Beautifully seasoned with just the perfect spice. The squid was quite tender, too.

Grilled Fish | Php150
Fresh! And I expected nothing less than fresh fish from this island.

This is one order. So if you could only consume one cup, you can always share.

Banana Turon with Vanilla Ice Cream | Php130

The place is quite charming.

At night, it is lit with candles and tea lights.
Here, E and V reading the menu.
