Gloria's Fantasyland.

I felt like an 8-year-old again the moment I saw the castle structure that served as the entrance of Gloria's Fantasyland. It reminded me so much of my first visit to Tokyo Disneyland many years ago. Although Gloria's Fantasyland is smaller compared to Disney, it is magical in its own right. Aptly named, it is probably every little child's dream playground. It has exciting kiddie rides, exhilarating 3D and 5D rides, a horror house, and a fabulous musical show!

The entire park is well-maintained, beautiful, clean. And no, it is nothing like a perya. This one, although located in the quiet town of Dapitan is, by all means, a theme park.

I also really like the idea that it is just about 15 minutes away from Dakak Park and Beach Resort by van (30 mins by bus). Imagine this -- you, basking under the sun at Dakak's white-sand beach in the morning, zip lining at Dakak Adventure Zone in the afternoon, and enjoying the magic of Gloria's Fantasyland in the evening. That certainly sounds like a perfect vacation to me.

My nephews and nieces will love this place, I am pretty sure of that. They'd be thrilled if I'd take them there before the summer ends.

Magic starts here.

The Horror House.

Fantasyland's show is fantastic!
Great costumes and awe-inspiring performances!

Waiting for the show to start.

For this, I will go back!

PARK SCHEDULE
Closed every Monday.
Business Hours : 3pm - 11pm

Just outside the castle fortress of Gloria's Fantasyland
is a commercial complex called Gloria de Dapitan.
It has rows of restaurants and boutiques.

It also has a bowling alley and a gym.
When you are done with all the rides at Fantasyland,
you can play bowling here or dine at one of the restaurants in the complex.

And this is, perhaps, one of my favorites -- a spa called Hilot.
A foot or a full body massage would be the perfect ending to a Fantasyland visit.

. . . . .

How to Get There

From Manila or Cebu or some other major cities,
take a flight to Dipolog City.
Cebu Pacific, PAL Express, and Philippine Airlines fly to Dipolog daily.

Dakak has a kiosk at the Dipolog airport.
Just approach any of their staff.
Dakak has a van that will take you to the resort.
