Aracama Filipino Cuisine.

Today, CBB and I dropped by Aracama for a quick merienda. Grabbed a can of Dulce de Gatas, too. I've been craving for it since October.

The first time I tried Aracama was during my friend E's birthday lunch last year. We all loved the food. We loved the desserts most of all! E and I brought home a can each of Dulce de Gatas that day. And we raved about it the entire week.

If you haven't been there yet, go and try it. The food is wonderful, the service is fast, the entire place is beautiful. The first floor space is simple and elegant. The second floor is spacious and quite reminds me of lovely traditional filipino homes.

Insalata Uva | PHP220
Salad with quesong puti, walnuts, grapes, and honey balsamic vinaigrette.
One of my favorites!

Ensaladang Pako | PHP230
Fern salad with salted eggs, tomatoes, shrimps, and light vinaigrette.
Interesting but absolutely good.

Lumpia Sisig | PHP195
Pampangga-style sisig in crispy wrapper.
What's not to love?

Kare Kareng Baka | PHP480
Beef, oxtail, peanut sauce, vegetables, and homemade bagoong.
Love that the sauce is light (not thick) and perfectly seasoned.

Pritong Tilapia | PHP375
I love fish and tilapia's one of my favorites.

Adobo Fried Rice | PHP175
Just the perfect pair for all the ulam we ordered.

Crispy Pata | PHP640
Because we always have crispy pata during birthday get-togethers!

Gising Gising | PHP195
The yummiest gising gising I've tried so far!

Suman sa Ibos | PHP195
Deep fried ibos suman with mascovado latik, mango, and ginger ice cream.
This is how I like my suman -- with lots of ginger! Yum!

Dulce Gatas and Bunuelos | PHP230
Caramelized dulce de leche with fried pastries.
A must-try!

Chocnut Ice Cream | PHP120
Our favorite chocnut in ice cream! Perfection!

Our corner table. Cozy.

The happy group, celebrating E's life.
Happy birthday, E!

  1. If you go to Bangkok, you must try their Patongko... it's like bunuelos but instead of the caramel, you have the condensed milk.
