The website Withlocals started this brilliant idea of connecting tourists and locals in Southeast Asia through tours, activities, and home dinners. Home dinners are special, since Withlocals is the first platform that offers the possibility to dine with locals.

Locals know how to prepare really delicious dishes and many of them are willing to share their secret recipes. Eric in Malaysia, for instance, can cook up delicious Chinese, Malay, Indian and Peranakan dishes. And then there's Khuong in Vietnam, who lets you tag along on her weekly visits to the local market.
Withlocals also offers food tours. In Sri Lanka, for example, tourists get to try street food.
What I love about Withlocals is that the team behind it have immense passion for travel. Co-founder Marijn Maas got the idea to start the platform after having dinner with locals in Sri Lanka on his honeymoon. He thought: “Wouldn’t it be great if all travelers could have an experience like this?”
So Withlocals was born and currently making a difference in Southeast Asia. By using the principles of sharing economy, Withlocals enables people to earn a sustainable income by doing something they are passionate about.
On your next travel, know the place's story and culture by including tours and dinners with locals in your itinerary. Let Withlocals help you.
